Midnight Fashion Experience

I was so excited to be a part of this runway experience..as this was my first time as a designer on the runway....I modeled a bit as a kid, but this was probably even bigger and better to see other people appreciating what came right from my head and hands! I pretty much knew what I wanted to do with my three looks, I just had to find something for ME to wear...well I mean MAKE something for me to wear! I found this awesome little hair accessory at Pink House Boutique , that is where I sell my stuff besides online!
I wanted a spring look but night time as well, so, I chose to make myself a dress with a similar style to the little girls dresses that I make....but for me! These are two of the fabrics that I chose...Bright, but grown up...
Here I am ready to leave the house...I was literally sewing up until the moment I left on my dress and a bathing suit top I had to make to go under an outfit...but............I work my best under pressure..always have!

When I arrived at the event there was already hair and makeup going on! So exciting!!!!

Us girls from the shop got all the clothes in order for the lineup, laid the accessories out...and tried clothes on the models to see who would wear what.....

My type A personality took over...This is the paper that I wound up writing and rewriting and then rewriting the show again on, and also, me and my little notes...I set up a note with the models names, outfit and number on them so it would be easier to find their accessories when they needed to change.

And for a few seconds we fooled around backstage and took some 'friend' photos..."Say Facebook"!

Alex is Danica, our shop owner's boyfriend...he's so supportive of her!

I took a few photos of the girls getting dressed when they initially tried their looks on. These are two of my looks.
You can find those awesome leg warmers at Bella Legs , we used them in so many looks!

Bri Bridge, who set the whole event up,  also had a fashion runway show right before ours....Her clothes have cool screen prints, bling and a whole lotta cutting up for a fun revealing sexy side!

While we were upstairs getting ready I leaned over the rail and took a few photos of the guests starting to arrive! I don't know how many people showed up but Danica told me that about 1000 tickets were passed out!

 Backstage.....
Then the girls changed into our looks...I took the first pic of all three of my looks on the models and then they took a pic with me!

I'm 5'8' and NOT as heavy as these photos make me look....it sucks standing next to models to take a photo!!! LOL I became short AND fat just like that! Wow! LOL

Almost ready............
I managed to snap a few of my looks while in action...

That's pretty much it,,It was a really succesful night and I loved and thrive in beautiful chaos like this! People everywhere , yelling, losing things, clothes disappearing, zippers breaking, hair coming out, models not making it out on time...loved every minute of it! One last note....my night ended with Bianca from MaterialGirls23.blogspot.com asking me if she could do a feature piece called "Who's That Girl" Just on Me!!!!!Really, someone in the fashion world wants to blog about my designs?!  Wow.I said of course and we will be in touch soon, so be on the lookout for that article when it comes out! Here is a quick little video of the whole night!

So proud to see you doing something you love. Little butt hurt that you are becoming a success out there making the chances of you coming back slim to none. Love you very much. Good job. And those pictures next to the models don't do you justice.
