I reuse things like toilet paper rolls & glass jars for parties-- so much that my kids ask if I want to keep something before they place it in the recycling!

I love recycling! My daughter is great about it. She reminds others too. This summer we planted our own garden and I'm always looking for new ways to reduce our carbon footprint!

we save our worn stained jeans/denim (and have gotten other's to send theirs our way) and when unwearable...we tear them into strips and stitch them into haphazard panels then into rugs. (adding a non slip backing) collecting like colors create most any decor fitting pieces!

We carpool to dance, recycle paper, glass, plastics, and don't let the water run while we brush our teeth. We also use a lunchbox instead of paper bags for school lunches (Yes, I've noticed that too, Addy!):-D

We seriously recycle everything we possibly can. And my daughter {who turns three in May} knows the difference between the trash can and the recycling bags we use under the sink. She's a great help :)

We recycle all containers, (either by reusing or by hauling to the center). Since I started sewing, I have found a way to recycle the cloth for various future projects, cloth diapers and cloth training pants; recycled onsies into T-Shirts for bed time; Reycling/upcycling keeps the creative juices flowing!

Anything I can use to make crafts with my two little girls...we make LOTS of crafts. Some are given to their cousins, friends, and then we take them to the local nursing home along with cupcakes!

I'm a FB fan and follow your blog!! One way that my family and I help to reduce our carbon footprint is to do a closet clean out twice a year and make a pile of clothes that we can no longer wear that are in good condition. We donate those clothes so that other people who need them can have them! We also recycle cardboard, plastic, and cans. Unfortunatly where we live, there's not a place within 30 miles that is a recycling center!

I recycle everything our city lets us. I teach our children that. We try our best to reuse and reuse.

We recycle as much as we can. I recycle/repurpose old clothing. We use things like glass jars (spaghetti sauce, etc) for storage and my kids have a huge box full of plastic jars (mostly from Ovaltine) as "blocks." They love building "castles", etc with those things. :0)

would it be easier to say what i don't do?
i dont buy things in packages unless i absolutely have to. so i follow the
reFUSE
reDUSE
reUSE (upcycle)
last-reCYCLE (downcycled)

i refuse PS#6. refuse to let a TV tell me what is 'best' to clean with. refuse throw away utensils, straw, napkins etc. (carry my own)
use soap nuts, vinegar and some b.soda, water, organic shampoos.
reduce my plastic purchases by buying in bulk with my own produce bags or containers.
reuse bill envelopes to write on the backside to make my shopping list for the farmers markets.
reuse dipes and wipes, menstrual cup, pads, hankies, bags, bev containers, egg cartons, glass jars. reuse my cloth bags to carry my fresh bakery bread home <2hrs after they baked it for me.
i knew this would be too long.
basically - my goal is not to have to put out my green bin on tuesdays.
trisha, you know im a fan:)
ps. i need to connect you with a gal localAZfirst and -get u on them membership list. their mixer is coming up too.
