Blogger is restored and now I can post!!!!

A lot of our posts are still not restored..like the latest Southwest one I did but most of the functionality of Blogger has been restored...so with that said, here is my latest...and the reason I brought it to my craft blog instead of my personal blog was because so many of you out there wonder and have asked how "I do it"....I get asked that alot, "How do you do it" with five kids and a busy lifestyle the truth is, that I just do...it's day by day, and some days are more productive than others..I don't like to set deadlines, or have pressures of dates lingering over my head because I never know what tomorrow is going to hold...Sadie was in a foul mood a few days ago so we just had to leave the house....we needed to just get out and go play!!!! So naturally, nothing got done that day!!! But she slept like a rock and so that allowed me to stay up into all hours of the night and work! hahaha......Well yesterday, she was in a particularly naughty mood. She is quite the busy child....I had four boys and laughed when people would say "whew, four boys...." as they were always pretty good for me, and then I got pregnant with my daughter......only my close friends "warned me"  about girls!!!!! Everyone else gives me the 'oh poor thing...four brothers' act! Well this chick can hold her own! My friends were all right...girls are busy they are work they are attitude they are high maintenance they are brats........She meets every expectation! This is the girl who has been undressing and re-dressing herself from about 10 months old, she has put her own shoes on since about one, she climbs anything she can to get to whatever she wants it doesn't matter how high, she jumps off of anything, she sings every song and knows the words, she runs her own baths (even when I'm not around..yes that was scary to find the tub ready to overflow and her in it!), She has zero fear of our 150+ lb. great dane, She tries to sew on my sewing machines regularly, she has an amazing vocabulary and has for awhile, and she only turned two four months ago...whew..the list goes on...............so yesterday, it was no surprise to hear hysterical screams coming from upstairs, and only she and I were home....so I ran up there only to find none other than my daughter with an entirely PINK face...no eyeballs showing no nose no mouth..just PINK.....I grabbed her and ran to my bathtub with her and tried to assess the situation...She had a bottle of pink fabric paint in her hand....OK, OK what do I do? Call poison control...(cuz I know the number by heart, we're on a first name basis since I've had Sadie....), laugh, cry, freak out..oh yeah , ok, rinse her eyes and her mouth...rinse rinse......So I ripped the nightgown she had on over her head and threw her in, rinsed her face and was literally scooping paint out of her mouth..... she started vomiting.which was probably good but I didn't worry too much, if she swallowed any she was getting it up......when she finally calmed down, I looked at her and literally just started laughing hysterically...which made her start crying again!......I needed nothing more in my life lately than a good laugh! Too bad it was at my daughter's expense.... Here is what I briefly caught on camera...and snapped quickly so I could get back to cleaning her and the mess up.....keep in mind you can see her face now in this pic as it was PINK just a few minutes before!
and in the hair! Her eyes are so red from me rubbing the paint out...it was well in her eyelashes!
she leaned on the tub before getting in...
on her pajamas....

on my carpet...fortunately it's not much, (this is not her first mishap with paint either on carpet...she has a nice combo of  purple paint and orange jamba juice smoothie on the carpet in her room!)
funny thing, there was hardly a drop on the actual paint bottle...leading me to believe she tried to unscrew it and then squeezed it making it explode on her face!
and her hands............
her hand is what her face pretty much looked like pre washing !!!
My point in blogging this on Night Owl is that , it is not perfect here in my home sewing studio..I do not have all the time in the world to just sit down and sew without interruption! I have normal, well maybe not normal, but things in my life that cause my days to just not go as planned and just not right... so how do 'I do it', I just laugh, suck it up and give her big hugs...because these times go by fast, they grow up way too quick.and then I drink a Rockstar and stay up all night..so next time your kids get into 'trouble'...join in with them!!! Laugh..it's good for the soul! They'll cherish their moments with you forever! When they go to sleep, get back to work! hahaha!

I think your Sadie and my almost three year old Annika are soul sisters! I have not had the paint problem yet (and I say yet with confidence). But my DD is a lot like Sadie: climbs and climbs to the tallest peak; early at: walking (9mos); talking singing etc! I cannot turn my back for a second. Annika is sweet but boy oh boy..... My heart goes out to you. I am sure yours just sunk while trying to assess the situation.

She and August could never hang out! They'd get into too much trouble together. I swear Augie is a magnet for trouble. The total opposite of Luke. Neither of them have any fear but Luke was a much better listener. I never had to baby proof anything with him because he never bothered anything. Ugh these girls! I'm already dreading the teenage years!!
